Awesome news out of the Hawks nest that Ryan Nicholas has decided to come back to coach the Premiers in 2019.
Ryan took the Hawks to their first ever banner this year, in his first year of coaching since transferring from playing professional rugby in Japan.
After playing 24 games for the Highlanders and 38 games for Japan, he has turned to coaching and has decided he loves the Hawks environment so much that he wants to take them to the top again in 2019.
After a successful 2018, he was also asked to coach the Otago U18’s, who ended up winning the South Island champs. Ryan says he is looking to go back to back in 2019 and win the banner again.
We are still looking for assistant coaches to join him in 2019, if you are interested please get in contact!
We look forward to 2019 an exciting year for the Hawks
