Doug has decided he will come out of coaching retirement to head coach the premier colts in 2019.

Dougie also brings a great team with him announcing that Marcis Sinclair will also help manage the team.

Doug is a former prems player of Harbour Rugby Club and Alhambra-Union Rugby Club

After his playing career finished Dougie got into coaching. In previous years he coached the Harbour colts, women, premier 2 and premiers for a number of years. He then went on to assist coaching the Otago u19’s, Otago Samoans and Sassenachs and the head coach of the Otago womens team in the past years. Doug has a tonne of experience behind him and will be a familiar face welcomed back.

The premier colts are looking to have a big year in 2019 with a big effort of recruitment that has gone on behind the scenes. They are also planning a trip to Bali post season.

Pre season starts beginning of February and welcomes all new players! Get in contact now if you are keen to join!

Harbour Rugby Club would like to thank Dougie’s wife Annie for letting him come back and help out in 2019.
