The Hawks are determined to take out the premier competition in 2020.
Recruitment has been well under way and some new talent is arriving at the club. Some from Auckland, Wellington, Taranaki and Christchurch.
The team had a successful team trip to Rarotonga last month winning the shield at the annual Raro 7s. This was a great trip that had a mixture of old and new players.
A stand out was Tala Fagaasosia who was inspirational in his leadership and coaching of the team. Tala is looking at being involved again in 2020 and will be helping out in a player/coaching role.
Notable recruits so far is Otago Boys stand outs Taylor Dale and dynamic outside back Max Brown who will be great additions to the club.
21 year old Toka Sopoaga (Younger brother of All Black Lima) is also a big recruit who will be coming in to replace Logan Allen who has headed back up north.
