Colts and Seniors – Crunch games for both teams

The final game of the round has finally come and as it stands all three Hawks teams are looking likely to be playing semi finals.

The Colts travel to Bathgate Park tomorrow to take on Southern 1pm. The colts competition has recently had a 4 week break so the boys will be looking to shake the cobwebs off before semi final time.

Dunedin Bullsharks defaulted to the Hawks team midweek as they could not field enough players due to Re-Oweek on at Uni.

The default meant the Hawks are guaranteed a top 4 spot which is remarkable to think how far this team has come in the space of a year. Last year the team did not win a single game and finished bottom of the table.

If the Harbour Colts side win tomorrow they will place second on the table and play Dunedin Mako at Port Chalmers next weekend in a home semi final.

Harbour Seniors have also had a great season, although heavily affected by injuries throughout the season, the team have given themselves a chance at semi finals.

Tomorrow’s game is at 2.45PM at AU’s North ground is the biggest of the season for the seniors. Win and they’re in the top 4, if they lose, they’re gone! AU beat the Seniors in round 1 but word has it they’re confident of sorting them out on their own turf.

Special mentions to Hayden Cleghorn who is driving back from Queenstown for the game.

The premiers have the Bye and depending on the Taieri vs Uni result will likely play Taieri at Port next week in the Semi final.

Get along and support the Hawks teams playing footy tomorrow!
